I think yes. Coz I do not have any fiancee yet but I think that its allowed in Islam to talk with fiancee. I want to tell you one thing that when the Prophet Mohamad صلی اللہ علیھ وسلم came into this world and Islam came into being, (I am talking about a time 1400 years back) there was no internet or phone. One day a Sahaba رضی اللہ تعالی عنھہ came to Hazrat Mohammad صلی اللہ علیھ وسلم and he said that I like a girl so I want to talk to her to make some understanding and to clear all kinds of misunderstandings so is it allowed in Islam. And Prophet Mohammad صلی اللہ علیھ وسلم said that yes afcourse you can meet and talk with her to better understand each other. So thats why I do beleive that its allowed in Islam. But stay in your limits and you can talk with each other through phone, internet or letters and can even meet each other. But please stay in your limits and don't try to cross the limits.

Yes, it is permissible. Having said that, no; of course, you cannot have sex.

But sorry, I don't mean to offend you and I know you mean well but it is questions like these that invite unnecessary derogatory remarks being hurled at Islam. In an age where people no longer value the sanctity of marriage as the lawful avenue for heterosexual relationship, I suggest you find other ways to obtain a greater understanding on the intricate details of Islamic courting. Not on Yahoo Answer, obviously.
I mean, really, your question could have been one that is not only directed to your fiancee, it could have been your teacher, your doctor, the greengrocer, the police, the paramedics, the legal adviser of the opposite sex. So then what: you're not gonna talk to these people? What kind of world would it be? Certainly not one that Islam wants its adherents to live in.

Absolutely. It is completely permissable in islam to talk to your fiance. There may be hardliners who say otherwise, but isnt there in any religion?

Yeah, of course! No, duh...the entire point of her being your fiance is so that you could get to *know* her. You can even go out together as long as you two aren't alone.

Then when and how you want to marry? Is that really easy to be so far for 4 years?

Everything is allowed as long as you think its okey with your and her family, nothing to do with Islam.
