Put canned bing or Queen Ann cherries in a sauce pan with the juice from the can. Add a couple of healthy shots of rum, warm the cherries up and serve in dessert dishes with the hard sauce on top. YUMMY!

I never heard of a hard sauce. What is in it? Maybe with chips.

Usually, it is served with fruitcake or plum pudding, or any steamed puddings or baked bread puddings, you can as well put it on pound cake I suppose and gingerbread

All it is is confectioner's sugar blended with butter and rum or brandy
