no, check out Dionysus because his story is nearly identical to that of jesus. it is therefore OBVIOUS that the myth of jesus is just a retelling of that same old story... which is of course a retelling of older stories.

Not just Dionysus but plenty of other myths that share similar themes with Jesus. I think all of that comes from one main source: the Sun. There are plenty of solar symbols associated with these religions. Just check out a flyer you usually get from a Christian church or group.

Dionysus, as far as I know, has hardly affected life as we know it for the past two thousand years. I've never heard of people claiming to have met him or of people that were willing to die for claiming to have witnessed his actions. I have yet to meet someone who says that Dionysus changed their life.
Now Jesus, on the other hand, you want to check Him out…
