I am not a Christian I am an Atheist. I am a female. There are a few moral reasons for abortion. Iciest, Child molestation, rape or If the baby would be either mentally or severely physically deformed or if the mothers life would be endangered by the birth. Any other abortion is just cold blooded murder. As far as the mothers right to freedom of choice goes her choice ended with her choice not to use protection when she agreed to have sex. The morning after pill is now available and is also an acceptable method of preventing pregnancy. xx

This is exactly like asking, "Hey, why are those nutcase Christians against killing three-year-olds? After all, since toddlers will go straight to heaven, why are they worried about it?"

Did you ever think about the fact that killing innocent human beings, whether in the womb or in Iraq, is wrong? Some people actually do care when other people are unjustly executed.

If you have any doubt that abortion does kill a living human being, get yourself an embryology textbook or visit http://Abort73.com

I just don't get these various Christians expectancy from non christians....spiritually and not religiously we all come from someowhere and end up somewhjere. Do we really know what that is or do we decided to beleive one way or not to get us through?...I believe in pro choice which is different to me than pro abortion. One woman's pregnanacy from rape may be her only choice to have a child. I would not insist on an abortion. Neither would I condemn the woman deciding to not bring a child into the world from same situation. babies are so innocent of all this it seems we want to believe they return to a place of innocence that we here cannot relate to....therefore Jesus already knows....

Yes, you have a very good point. That child will go to heaven if aborted. However, what if that child could cure cancer when it grew up? Or what if that child could end poverty? And then you killed it? Abortion is killing. Killing a baby. Do you know why? The Bible says that, "I(God) knew you before you were in your mother's womb" God knew everything about child, even before conception took place. Also, the woman will be left with a horrible feeling in her heart. Women's magazines, books, movies, etc. explain and show what the woman feels like when she aborts the child. I hope I answered your question!

There is controversy surrounding "If a baby dies it goes to heaven" Many believed an un-baptized child goes to hell because it still has original sin inherited from it's parents.
I am not completely against abortion in all aspects but I personally would not do it- not because of the baby going to heaven or hell but because I see no reason to kill someone I created. It was my responsibility or lack there of to get pregnant and now you should deal with the consequences of your actions. Birth control is cheaper than babies.

The general answer you will get is emotionally-based, not logically-based. Anti-abortion answers such as "ABORTION = MURDER OMFG WEH!!!" is emotionally based. Anti-abortion answers such as "Because each person deserves a chance at life, and the child should be given up for adoption." is more sound, and logically-based.

Btw, I am pro-choice, but I respect others' decisions. Christians have also preached to me about how wonderful the kingdom of heaven is, to which I respond, "If it's so wonderful, why are you still alive?"

Babies automatically go to heaven when they die. They are innocent and do not know or have the capability of commiting right from wrong. They do not know what a sin is. They are completely innocent of sin.

It is so easy for you to ask that question when you have already made it safely out of your mother's womb. To vaccume a baby out of it's mother's womb is murder, and quite painful, and cruel to the baby who is innocent and committed no sin.

Partial birth abortions is when the baby is forced out breach and stopped at the neck where they drill a hole in the baby's skull, and at this point the baby is very much alive, and then they proceed to suck it's brains out before it is completely born and out of the body. What did an innocent baby ever do to deserve that?

With the traditional abortions the baby that was viciously vaccumed out of it's mother's body is then thrown into a trash can, very much alive and is forced to die slowly as if it were a rodant that just ate rat poison. To starve to death and die of hypothermia the way these innocent babies do is the cruelest form of torture a person can do to another living creature of God.

If you think that either of these proceedures are ok for babies, You will stand before God one day and explain your self to Him, and your punnishment will fit your crime.

God addresses abortion...

Exodus 21:22 If men strive, and hurt a woman with child, so that her fruit depart from her, and yet no mischief follow: he shall be surely punished, according as the woman's husband will lay upon him; and he shall pay as the judges determine.

To abort a baby is not to deprive them to go to hell. Where do you get this trash from? Babies will never see hell, only heaven.

Born babies that die from one cause or another, do indeed go to heaven. The babies that are still unborn and are killed by the will of man is a crime simply because they were not given the chance to live their lives. The soul of the unborn baby does go to heaven, yes, but that does not mean that we must kill every unborn baby with the excuse that its soul goes to heaven.

God gives life and we are to preserve it the best we can. It is a gift. An abortion takes away that child had of living a life and who knows what contributions it may have made. God is the author of life.

Just because I believe that a baby will go to heaven when it dies does not give me a right to kill him/her. Are you advocating that I just murder all people who claim to be Christians also? Maybe I should go ahead and kill Billy Graham since we all know he is going.

Not a very good argument against abortion.
