Obviously Walmart carries the fabric you need, so find another Walmart and see if they have more of it. Or ask the one that ran out to reorder. I think they reorder every Thursday. Ask the person in that department when they'll get more.

I work in the Walmart Fabric Department and I am just wondering why you don't go back to your local Walmart and ask them.

Otherwise, it depends on the fabric you are seeking.

If it is a "wall" fabric -- then it is carried in all Walmart's and with the UPC number you can find out in minutes at your local store what other store has the amount that you need.

If you can at least tell me the price you paid per yard I can at least give you a good idea.

If you are talking about seasonal fabric, like a Christmas print -- then you might as well forget it, you will have to go thru the manufacturer.

If you are looking for $1.00 dollar a yard fabric or $2.00 a yard fabric -- again that is nearly impossible. That fabric is a bulk item and most of the bolts in the shipment will come in with the same UPC so when we go into the computer system (texlon) we will see that any given store has X amount of yards but we cannot tell you what the colors are etc. So it may or may not be the same fabric at all.

These bulk UPC numbers are also on our "decorator" fabrics which sell for $3.77 per yard.

So basically it depends on the UPC.

Since Walmart is in the process of Closing all the Fabric Departments - this rundown may be a little late to help you.

The following Fabrics can all be reordered.

The $1.87 (solids) The $3.96 (prints also called "wall" fabric)
The $2.67 (solids) . The $2.57 print flannels
The $2.00 HOMESPUN. The $2.67 gingham's.
The $1.97 solid Pongees. The $4.44 Fleeces.

There are more fabrics that can be reordered.

Why not reply with either a description or a price per yard and I could perhaps give a better answer.

A Walmart Fabricholic who will soon be out of work thanks to HOME OFFICE.

Just remember that b/c it is from a different dye lot, the colors may not match perfectly. And they should be able to check to see if any other stores in there area have it. I find that the Walmarts that are in more rural areas have a much better selection of fabric.

yes--if you ask them at the service desk, then they will call other nearby walmarts or help you find it on line. I always do that if I find a pair of shoes that won't fit at shoe stores. Works like a charm. Good luck.
