You can burn audio onto a DVD like a CD. The caveat is that a music DVD will not work in a CD player or any DVD player. The DVD player needs to be capable of reading mp3 DVD's. You need to either try it or check documentation for compatibility.

You can if its a DVD rewritable disk but its better to put music on a CD-R, its less wasteful

sure! you can also play the music on the dvd set but it will be blank (still plays music)!

yes you can. but it takes a longer time to download than a regular CD disk.
