I would have to say yes. I suppose it really all depends on how they are dressed. I lived 5 years in the Middle East (Saudi and Kuwait) and I saw a bit of descrimination of Westerners toward Muslims. The reverse is true. Muslim women who wear the burka and abaya (forgive the spelling) generally separate them from other peoples of the world that are not Muslim. Even the ones that don't cover their faces and just their hair make attract strange looks. Westerners, particularly western women, would tend to look down on Muslim women that practice such covering up as weak.

I think it is the other way around. All other people get weird looks from Muslim females. With their veils, they can get away with weird looks all the time.

I cover my hair and wear pants and long shirts or dresses. I do get a lot of strange looks and very rude comments from non muslims but i also recieve many compliments and positive feedback from christian women about being modest .

Why would they, unless they wore their traditional garb here in the United States. They are for the most part, beautiful women with olive complexion, long, dark hair and soulful brown eyes. However, the outfit they have to wear in their native country leaves much to be desired. Underneath that monstrous thing, they probably have a gorgeous figure too. That's why they are forbidden to let another man admire or lust after their beauty, especially if they are married.

Not if they are among people who are used to seeing women dressed that way. However many western women see the burka as a symbol of ownership, weakness and oppression.
