just go up to him make small talk and then ask him out and if he says yes you got it and if he says no then just keep talking to him and then ask him later after you two get to know each other.

Well what i would do is write him a note find out things about him. well dont SPY! but kind of ask his friends about him. there you can get info on your future Boy friend!
