yea that's true, my dad's a personal trainer... and he says that u should work out no more than an hour every day because after that you're just wearing yourself out and not gaining anything. When you work out what you're doing is tearing muscle tissue, when it regrows that's how u gain muscle. You need to give your muscles the time to regrow so you will get stronger/bigger or whatever you want

Actually, your muscle needs a break from the weight lifting, not the aerobics and stretching. Say you are going the do 100 crunches per day, you should only do it from 3 to 4 days per week. So, that a way your muscles will have some times to recover from being torn.

It actually depends on the intensity of your exercise. You could workout more if you're not doing too intense of an exercise. Lesser time duration for the intense type of exercise. If it's the intense type, it's best to let your muscles rest for 48 hours. =)

Not true, if you mix your workouts, running, lifting, abs, then it really won't hurt you. As long as you let your muscles rest and reconstruct.

no! you can work out more than 1 hour per day. just don't work out the same muscles on consecutive days. work legs one day and then arms the next.
