Is Jennifer Lopez fluent in Spanish? Whenever I see her on Spanish television it seems like she can't respond correctly....she makes simple mistakes and seems extremely nervous. I don't think she's bilingual....maybe she's trying to embrace her heritage by learning Spanish? I'm not sure; if she is a fluent (native) speaker, this sounds dumb, but to me it seems like J.Lo makes errores a menudo....gracias por vuestra ayuda.....

She's fluent but rusty. She speaks most of the time in English.

Jennifer Lopez is not fluent in Spanish. If you watch her in the earlier Cristina interviews she admits to not being fluent and needed Cristina to translate for her. All of a sudden for some reason she feels the need to ear more support from her Spanish speaking fans. She never needed to in my opinion people would keep liking her even if she only said hola. Look at Selena..... she was never fluent in Spanish either but somehow won the hearts of all of latin america before her short career tragically ended. You can definitely tell that Jennifer Lopez grew up around it, but unless parents make a true effort to make Spanish the first language, sadly.... most kids can't grasp it. I guess everybody deserves credit for trying but her try still after all of these years fall short.

She can be fluent but still make lots of mistakes; she can also be fluent without being a native speaker. I have no idea about J.Lo herself, but fluency just means that she's able to carry on a conversation without a great deal of hestitation. It's not the same as accuracy.

She's not bilingual. She had to learn Spanish for her role in Selena.

Are you from Spain? Spanish speakers from Latin America use "ustedes" not "vosotros."
