YIKES!

How to shorten it. Well, keep immediate family - your spouse and children, your parents, his parents, your siblings and their kids.

Keep your closest friends - and I do mean the closest- the ones who would help you hide the body type of friend.

Other relatives that may show up for holiday events - maybe keep them, but make the gift smaller - $10-15 for your aunts and uncles, $8-10 for cousins - the further away the relative, the smaller the gift.

Everyone else gets a card.

I hope you're getting everyone lottery tickets.

You might want to shorten it to: Those who are giving you a present, or the top 10-20 people.

if you want to send cards and can afford 200 39cent stamps then its not too long - other wise think about it even if you bought $1 presents for everyone it'll be over $200!! Look at your budget and how much you want to spend on each person and then revise your list.

Jessica,
SHAME ON YOU for presuming that generousity has limits!
Consider yourself BLESSED to count this many people as "important enough" to be listed on your Christmas list.
The common American lifestyle (especially nowadays) has room only for a MAXIMUM of 5 (maybe enough room for 6) substantially important "FRIENDS" to carry throughout life. - In today's customs with situations demanding "split lifestyles" and other situations, one is truely blessed to hold onto a core base of their 5 "friends."
In your dilemma, I would adopt a tree-sharing model to keep everyone in contact.
%Share your most INTIMATE concerns with a base of 5 and assure that they correspond with thier 5, and their 5 spreads to other "base-5's"...all down to the original set of 200 and WHALAH! - everyone shares the same wishes.
When it gets all broiled down, YOU will receive credit for this (beginning) wish, so long as it is unchanged.

no problem. that is if you can afford it. Remember its more of making your loveones feel the spirit of christmas rather than focusing on the material thing that you will give. the gift is just an instriument to maek someone feel the spitit of christmas
