I don't understand why the christians are hated. I know we turned our backs to sin and started walking with Jesus, and i know we are not perfect. we mess up and sin every day. Some try smoking, drinking, doing drugs, slip up and cuss, look at dirty magazines, lust, and other sinful things. Some of us even think about sleeping with the same sex and trying it out. Every person on this planet sins. I want every unsaved sinner to know that. We try our best to stay with Jesus. Some of us backslide by leaving him and some of us just make mistakes and ask forgiveness and the ones that backslide they come back and some of them don't. The un-returning backsliders will recieve harsher punishment in hell after death than an average sinner, much much harsher than a homosexual or adulterer or any other sinner. So please before you think about hating us more and more. Try to think about the same sin's that we do. A christian is simply a forgiven sinner compared to a not-yet forgiven sinner.

First, let me say that I am a Christian and yes there is probably not a day that goes by that I don't mess up in some way. I'm human.
I don't think the asker of this question was trying to be offensive, just stating the truth. I've read many of the questions that have been posted here and I've observed hatred, but it's mostly directed toward Christians from either other religions or people that believe in no higher power.
Yes, that is a choice that we ALL have to make, it's called free-will.
I truly wish there was more love in this world, that we ALL could get along and that there would be no more wars, but that will never be - until Jesus returns.
Perhaps it is judgemental to refer to someone as an "unsaved" sinner but that is exactly what it is. Another way to put it is someone that has never genuinely accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior of their lives - again, their choice but I believe in the Bible, I believe it to be God's Word to us and it is very plain in it's wording.
Personally, I try not to offend anyone but Christians are called to witness to others. To me, the offense comes when someone hears what they don't want to hear and of course there are Christians out there that are what I call "Christian want to be's", that don't live it and that is what gives Christianity a bad name.

Until a little over 3 years ago I was an "unsaved" sinner and quite often shyed away from people that tried to witness to me because I didn't want to hear it. I didn't want to change.

Yes, I am a sinner, but thank God I am saved by His grace through His Son Jesus Christ.
If that offends anyone, then I'm sorry.

Im not against your so called christian life style, Im against the sanctimonious way you insist on ramming you beliefs down my throat!! So for the record: I dont believe Im "unsaved" or that you are "saved" and I certainly dont need your attempts to "save" me.
Like everyone else I have free will and I demand that you respect it! Otherwise I have a tendency to retaliate by calling you a sanctimonious git!
I have to point out here, Ive done the church bit, was very involved and had a great deal of faith. I reallllly dont need to hear it all again, in fact I could probably quote the bible back to you until you were dizzy.

"I know alot of unsaved sinners out there are against the christian life style" If the Xian lifestyle involves fear-mongering, intolerance, and hate, then you're right. A lot of unsaved sinners hate that.

Maybe calling people who believe differently from you "unsaved sinners" Is where your problem starts. How about you stop labelling and judging, and actually embrace that Xian lifestyle you mentioned?

1) Arrogantly treating non-Christians as subhuman "sinners".
2) Trying to convert them to your religion. Converting automatically assumes that someone else's beliefs are trash, and is insulting in general.
3) A long history of violence and bloodshed over beliefs: the Crusades, Inquisition, gay-bashing, slavery, and a good chunk of the Bible can reference you on this.
4) Imposing your beliefs on everyone else, against their will.
5) The sorry lack of ability to mind your own religion's business, not someone else's.
6) Denial.
7) Willed ignorance.
8) Repressing human nature, such as healthy sexuality.
9) Enabling horrid behaviour, because you'll be "forgiven" anyway.

I generally have a problem with someone who follows a religion that advocates violence in its holy book, and is okay with that. I have only gotten along with 2 Christians in my entire life, and that is because they mind their own religion's business, and they do not try to force me to chagne my mind. :-)

Why can't christians be content to believe what they believe and let non-christians believe what they want? I think that's the main problem; christians are so judgemental and they think they are better than everyone. You say it yourself, we are "unsaved". That's very judgemental and you have no right to judge. Take the rafter out of your eye, honey.

Why is anyone who doesn't agree with you a sinner? Oh, that's right, it's called intolerance. And it's the least christian or jewish or hindu or any other religious activity around.

The problem with most christians is that they are so judgemental. look in your own backyard before you tell me to clean up mine. I consider myself a believer of Christ, but most christians really turn me off

We need unsaved people to become Christians so they can show us the right way to live

Well, calling us all "unsaved sinners" is a good place to start. You're being offensive without even trying.

Jesus talks about the world hating us because we know him but the world did not or something like that and that is why we are hated
