I need to know whey everyone I know thinks I have to think the same way about God as they do. I beleive in Him and the Bible and all, but I just think that parts of the bible are disputable. I am not an athiest, but I am not a 100% devout believer either. I just someone to explain why everyone wants me to believe what they think I should. How do they know I'm not right and they are all wrong?

The trouble with the bible is that is has been translated so many times that it has lost a lot of its meaning. That, and when someone is translating, who says they won't translate it to thier version of events. Also, people will pick and choose whatever scripture they want and twist it to suit their purpose. I think the best way to go is to search and investigate everything until something feels right.

Those of The True Christian Faith know The Truth. based on your own words you do not. However, no one should try to compel you to accept it. But when The Truth is known for the fact that it is, some find it hard to contain themselves... The True Faith can not be compeled. I too wish for you to know The Truth but I will not continue to impose my views if you are not willing to hear....
If you do have a question concerning The True Christian Faith feel free to email me... I do not spam... one honest question receives one honest answer to the best of my ability...

I did not catch that you are 16.... unless you have been exposed to good Bible teaching you are not yet.... now do not get all upset with me...mature enough in your understanding to make such an important dececion.... I am 59 and did not come to God untill I was 53.... I had a lot more exposure to different "religions" than you probably have... I did not believe any of that stuff...I was a mocker up to the very moment before my Salvation... But I can now assure you.... but I can not "prove it" to you...that The God stuff is for real.... you are still welcome to email any question..

It's the nature of the beast, my friend. Often people feel uncomfortable asking questions but while your questioning in pursuit of truth may make some people, including your parents, nervous or uncomfortable, God doesn't mind at all. Keep asking questions, searching, pondering, prayerfully studying. It's OK to come to your own conclusions about your faith. Spirituality is a personal thing and the quest for a personal relationship with God is just that; personal. Don't let others influence or intimidate you. Search for the truth and rest easy.

Everyone believes they are right or correct and therefore, want you to conform to their own ways.

More than likely, they don't quite have it right either!

My advice to you- is let the Bible interpret the Bible! You come to your own conclusions based on the Bible ALONE! Let the Bible and not your church or anyone else, be the bases of your foundation!

i know what u feel because i do feel the same..
some people is like that.. they think they are the best..
what i am doing when people start talking about Him n Bible..
i just say that i already have my own choice to believe in who..
as long as i don't do anything that hurt anyone that would be enough for me. we can't judge people from what they believe. religion is something personal. so please let it become personal too
its free country..

I will not ask if you have read the bible. I will ask if you have studied it. I too rebelled from the teachings of my mother about God and Jesus and all that stuff. However, I will ask you to read the Book of John, until you know the Man/God Jesus. That is the only book you need to read now. Eat it until you can Him. Know who Jesus is and what Jesus did for us. Then read Mathew Mark and Luke until you can see Him. Ask Gods Holy Spirit to teach you Gods truth. He is the only teacher of Gods Word.
Hang in there, It took me 30 years to turn to Jesus. To truly know him.
He does love you and no matter where you run, he is always in front of you, saying, "If only you knew me, you would see.
Yours,
Hisemiester

It is not an issue of people wanting you to believe what they think you should, it is an issue of being what the bible says in 2 Timothy 3:16 that, "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness."

If what anyone says doesn't line up with the Bible they (we, I) are wrong.

Hopes this helps!

Then I guess according to what you're saying God is a part-time liar? We don't have the luxury of believing bits and pieces of what God says, and still claim to be Christians, it's either all true, or you're calling God a liar.
