There are all kinds of ways to become popular. Who
mandates that you must be able to swim in order to be well
liked? Join some clubs and other functions. Treat everyone
the same and be kind to all. Don't go around looking down your
nose at others just because they are different. Run for an office
on the student council. Help other students if you can.

Own it.

Make not being able to swim part of what makes you quirky and fun and, well, YOU. Boys might even find it cute.

Try hard to learn, put forth the effort in class, and don't be ashamed.

Kids that are popular are kids that are confident. They could come in wearing the PJs and if they owned it, kids would would think PJs in school are cool too.

You'll have all the kids wanting floaties!

Believe me, swimming is a very small part of High School. If you're embarassed, just laugh it off. It's not easy, but that's the easiest way to repel an awkward, or embarassing situation. If people see that you don't take yourself so seriously, then they won't take your disadvantages, like not being able to swim easily. You'll have fun in HS, believe me, i'm a senior

First of all being popular in your new school will only lead to stress. for me i dont give a #@#@ about what people think about me I'll be myself and Im glad i choose it that way,

I know some ppl who cant swim but if you really want to learn badly get swimming lessons.

dont worry, I dont think theres any relation to being able to swim and being popular...take classes this summer if its stressing you out.....Think about when you were in first grade...whatever happened back then seems pretty unimportant now doesnt it? When you graduate, you'll look back on highschool in the same way, and regret not just having fun and being yourself. Dont worry what other people think, they're only worrying about what everyone else is thinking about them...trust me, just be yourself!

ok, ya see iu really want to be popular be yourself, cause look at it this way, if you try to be popular, it will seem like you are trying to be popular, and that is not cool, but if you b urself, you will be friends with people you like. And people you like should be the popular kids in UR mind

see if your HS offers anything else. I avoided swim by taking dance in HS.
