my friends always say "oh he likes you, it's so obvious" but i don't think they do how come they notice this but i dont?

You're looking from the point of "Hey, he's being nice!" While they see him flirting. It's obvious to them because they aren't denying that fact to themselves. To avoid making the conversation awkward us girls automatically assume that he doesn't like use until he comes out and tells us. Our friends however can see that the boy is flirting easily because they are on the outside looking in.

Sometimes friends ask the boy if they like you or sometimes they jus notice some of the little things that we dont notice

My guess is that most of us are so totally wrapped up in our own lives that we never notice the simple things in life, and tend to only look at the surface of people.
