Get a No Cost Background Check Scan at https://bitly.im/aOh1n
Its a sensible way to start. The site allows you to do a no cost scan simply to find out if any sort of data is in existence. A smaller analysis is done without cost. To get a detailed report its a modest payment.
You may not realize how many good reasons there are to try and find out more about the people around you. After all, whether you're talking about new friends, employees, doctors, caretakers for elderly family members, or even significant others, you, as a citizen, have a right to know whether the people you surround yourself with are who they say they are. This goes double in any situation that involves your children, which not only includes teachers and babysitters, but also scout masters, little league coaches and others. Bottom line, if you want to find out more about someone, you should perform a background check.

A few years ago I had a old highschool female friend who had started dating a guy. She was a little suspicous about him and, although I'm not a private investigator or law enforcement (I am ex-special forces and she knew she could trust me), she asked me to check up on him.
I won't give you all the clues as to how I found out who he was but many of my resources were buried in readily accessible public records. I also visited a friend of the family who was in law enforcement at the time and told him what you've heard so far. I asked him if he'd look this guy up.
He did and it turns out the guy was trouble. Besides lying to her he did have a criminal record. Nothing real serious but enough to raise flags and walk.
Go to the police if you feel you should. But here's some free advice. The detective I mention in this story shared it with me those years ago. It goes like this.
Trust your instincts. If your gut is telling you something is wrong it probably is.
That being said, if you want confirmation get it. Best of wishes.

A warrant is a matter of public record. Call the police department in question and ask.

Usually you can look it up on the computer, but it won't tell what the warrent is for. Sometimes the sheriffs office will tell you and sometimes they wont. But if you don't do anything to get in trouble then chances are you won't have a warrent .

I work for a police dept and I give out that information everyday. All you have to do it call the PD they SHOULD be able to give you that info. If they can't help you then i would call the court. Someone will be able to give that information to you. Just keep trying.
