I am a boy and there is this school dance I am hearing about a lot recently that the girls ask the guys to? There is one girl I want to go with and I have a feeling that she is too shy to ask me. How can I signal to her that I want to go with her or how can I get a date?

ask her if she has asked anyone to the dance yet/ if she is going to the dance with anybody.
if she says that she hasn't asked anybody yet, ask her if she is planning to ask anybody. and who.
if she says something like "i don't know if anyone would go with me" tell her you'd like to go with her
or just tell her you would like to go to the dance with her.

give her some hints like smiling at her and if you have time before the dance see if you two can spend some time together maybe ask her to the movies and youll definately get her
