I was "kind of" named after my Grandpa. My dad wanted me named after him but my mom could stand the thought of me being named Sular. Instead,as a compromise, i got grandpa's initials. He was Sular Eugine and I am Scott Edward.

Yes. My name is Tannie-lee Catherine. Tannie-lee comes from my father's name, Stanley. Since my cousin couldn't say Stanley, he said Tanley, and when my parents had me, after 3 miscarriges, they named me Tannie-lee for him and Catherine after my mother.

My mother named my middle name after a friend of hers.
It's welsh and it means sunshine. they called my mums friend Sunny.
BUT!!! if I say it you can't spell it and if I spell it you can't say it.
