Is there a thing out there that lets you record on a CD directly like on a tape recorder?

I am asking this because I want to record something on tape but I can't because the store dosen't sell tapes any more. So i am thing of useing CDs but i just hate to do it on the computer. It takes so long.

You need a dvd recorder. It will record on dvd and cd too. The cheapest one is less than $100.

I own a DVD recorder and it won't record CD's. You need a CD recorder. Here's one from Sony, but I'm sure there are others out there, too.
