Yes, for those who call themselves Muslims but only in name. There is a difference between Muslims and Practising Muslims. Some justify their actions just because they call themselves Muslims but forget totally that their actions aren't Islamic. Practising Muslims need no image makeover because when a certain religion is practised, in this case, faithfully it is believed as the RIGHT religion, practitioners should be the ones who engage in RIGHT-ness. In Islam, mutual respect must be exercised with non-Muslims. Only when Practising Muslims are oppressed, they retaliate at the last resort. Unjustified suicide bombing where innocent lives are affected is mere cosmetic show of un-Islamic actions by non-practising Muslims who use Islam as a tool to justify their actions.

I personally do not care of what people think, I live on Earth to submit to God and wait patiently for the last day so that we may have what we are promised.

[046:035] Therefore be patient (O Muhammad [Peace Be Upon Him]) as did the Messengers of strong will and be in no haste about them (disbelievers). On the Day when they will see that (torment) with which they are promised (i.e. threatened, it will be) as if they had not stayed more than an hour in a single day. (O mankind! this Qur'ân is sufficient as) a clear Message (or proclamation to save yourself from destruction). But shall any be destroyed except the people who are Al-Fâsiqûn (rebellious against God's Command, disobedient to God)?

I think there needs to be more education into what Islam is, and when people do that, actually read the Qu'ran from front to back, then their eyes will open, but this cannot happen unless God willed it for them.

I see all of this anti-Islam stuff as a test to see who are true believers, and that gay marriage being allowed is a sure sign of the Day of Judgment coming soon.

No I don't think Islam needs a makeover rather people need to see the true religion and not the opinions of a few (whether that be Osama Bin Laden, or Richard Dawkings).

How can anyone say no to that..The real problem is that Islam is not used to real civilization. It has only been involved with developed nations since the industrial revolution.( about125 years or so ) Most of these areas are not developed even today. Their interaction came when the world needed oil. They are just in need of their reformation like the Jews and Christians had, then they will be alright. They still ride camels and kill Christians and stone women and kill rape victims and let the rapists go.Well do I need to go on....

not at all. the muslims need a major make over tho.
reading the Quran carefully and in context, you will see all the claims against it are false. you must understand something before you condemn or mock it. and dont judge the religion by its followers. a lot of muslims today are either only muslims by name. and the others, the suicide bombers, the terrorists, are not muslims at all. islam doesn't preach violence. the only time war is allowed is when you are attacked first. the killing of innocents is unacceptable. and one of the greatest sins in islam is suicide.

It needs a real makeover (which doesn't have to do with "image").

It needs to stop believing and practicing that those who don't convert to this so-called "religion of peace" must be killed.

God is the one that makes the rules not humans. the Quran is not a note-book which you can add, edit or erase what you want.

and if you heard too much negative things about Islam by ignorant, then what will you say about the Hell ? tsunami? Katrina? can anything happened with a permission from God.

LOL

An understatment if I ever heard one...but a good question.

Islam is built on the timeless perfection of the Quran.

A book so horrible and stupid, is yet held to be untouchable....islam is essentially a resistance to change, from a primates perspective.
