hmmm....

heads...i report you.

tails...I'll answer your question.

*coin flip*

tails!

Is that how you want God to deal with you?

What if you did everything God wanted you to do for Him and yet you'd still go to hell because He flipped a coin just to make a decision regarding your fate in the hereafter?

Would you want God to do this to you?

heads...you can enter heaven.

tails...sorry, but even if you've done your best to follow Me...

*coin flip*

-----

For your sake...I hope it's heads.

Honest answer to your question.

Just a little reality check.

Peace.

We can all ask the questions what if or would you but we dont have to. God does not decide who is saved by flipping a coin. We can know whether or not we are saved and we dont have to play a guessing game.

It might as well be that way now -- except there is no god to do any flipping.

Look, christian philosophy claims to be THE guide to living a good, moral life that leads one to salvation after death. If that's so, then why do christians (in the US at least) commit adultery, lie, steal, cheat, and every other bad thing at the same or worse rates as non-christians? Why is it that over 80% of inmates in prison identify themselves as christians? Why is it that cancer, heart disease, diabetes, and every other ailment afflict christians at the same or worse rates as non-believers?

In other words...what's the point? Statistics clearly show no economic, health, or "moral" benefits to being christian. Despite all the promises in the bible saying god will give his followers everything they need, will answer their prayers, and will put down the "wicked" -- christians and the "wicked" non-believers are statistically identical. No help from god. It's all just for that place in heaven after you die? The one for which there is no evidence of any kind? No thanks, I don't think I'll park my brain in neutral and pretend to talk to a magic sky pixie just in the off chance that ancient superstions dreamed up by hebrew shepherds might beat the 1-1,000,000,000,000 odds that it's false.

Happy Solstice. :)

Kind of like a football game mentality, you think? The winner or loser of the toss doesn't determine who wins the game though.

Nope. I'm still here living it - what happens after I die, happens after I die.
