My sister says I should get my cat Fonzie a live mouse for Christmas. She said I can put it in a little ball and it will run around the floor and he will chase it. I know those mice are sold as food for snakes and stuff but I think it's kinda over the top. Is it wrong to do that?

It's not necessarily wrong but it will leave quite the mess if the ball pops open and your cat gets the mouse. lol There are these little toys that are round shaped and have 3 open sections and a fake mouse that smoothly spins inside that cats LOVE. I'd try that. My cats go crazy for it.

I think the mouse would have a heart attack and that would be the end of it. Get Fonzie some toys with refillable catnip pouches. Merry Christmas!

I got a small grey mouse toy at Wal Mart that is fuzzy and has a pink tail and when the cat moves it , it makes a small squeaky sound. I think that would be just as much fun as a real mouse for a cat.

NO! No mousy's for the kitty (unless they are play/catnip kind of mice). There are a lot of other toys that your kittly will love. If you want something that moves, get one of those cheep little remote cars or wind up toys that are little. Best thing yet? A laser light! My cats go NUTS over laser lights (and it's pretty funny to watch too!). Again, NO MOUSEYS FOR THE KITTY! please?

That poor mouse...

They DO sell mouse-like mouse at Wal-Mart for about $8. It operates with a battery/batteries. It is much less humane.

Yeah dont be mean to the mouse.

This is what I gave to my friend's cat for her bday:
i made a cat toy myself with like yarn and beads and ribbon and feathers . its pretty long and you can hang it on something and the cat can swat at it. just make sure no pieces are loose or toxic

Yes, it's wrong. Try getting your cat a different toy or a house with scratching pads on it.
