The solution lies in the question: Who's ruling the world?
The night before his death, Jesus three times warned his disciples about this god, calling him “the ruler of this world.” Jesus said this powerful ruler, or god, “will be cast out.” (John 12:31; 14:30; 16:11) Who is this god, and what is the world over which he is the ruler?
He is none other than the rebel angel, Satan the Devil. How do we know? The Bible explains that when Satan tempted Jesus, Satan showed him “all the kingdoms of the world and their glory, and he said to him: ‘All these things I will give you if you fall down and do an act of worship to me.’” (Matthew 4:8, 9) This offer would not have been a temptation at all if Satan had been offering Jesus what Satan did not possess. Indeed, the apostle John declared: “The whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one.”—1 John 5:19.
So, whoever side with the world, is offended by God's Word.

It's like a mirror; that reflects back all of our worst qualities that we've been trying to hide our entire lives, and it shows them in the Light of the Truth, which we find repulsive to our prideful nature. The wonderful thing, is that when we get saved and look again at the Book, the reflection that we see back at ourselves, is the Righteousness of Jesus!

In the bible Jesus cast out demons by saying to them to come out of him by the authority given to him by his father the Lord.
One can extrapolate from this that demons acknowledge G0D has power over them.
They BELIEVE G0D exists, and KNOW he has authority over them, yet they simply choose not to respect him or obey him.
This is just like young adults who get their first good job, then hate and diss their boss because of his authority.
They hate him because they feel they are equal to him, seeing only the advantages of his position, and none of the heavy responsibilities.
They call him "arrogant", and see every action as unjustified and his personality as judgemental.
He offends them, because he has power over them, not they over him and they lust after that power and resent others who have it.
Even if they feel offended, he does not. They choose to take the job. If they don't appreciate the job and perform it appropriately without criticizing the boss he can get rid of them at any time.
Now imagine that G0D is your boss...

That's not the "word of god" - it's just the Bible.
If there were a god, you can be sure that he could stick up for himself, and wouldn't need people like you to post these whiny messages.

Because it shines the light on their sin. Just like it does ours only we go to Jesus for forgiveness. Also, I think they feel we are being pushy when you quote bible passages at them, instead of talking in everyday language.

It isn't so much the Bible itself that offends - it is the way its writings are used to judge, condemn, and insult others. It's more how it's used by some people.

You are forget a whole lot of other gods and goddesses and they are all just as valid as the imaginary friend you have.

It's not the word. It's all the history of horrible acts, fear, hate, and intolerance that go along with that particular word.
