I don't know where are you from, but if you want a real prove of it just take a look at many parts of the world. For example, in my city in Mexico, the temperature last year by this time was like 26º C and this year we are about 30ºC and getting higher, so cold in other places is getting colder jeje and so so

The correct answer is!!!!!!!!!!
No one knows.
Kinda a surprise huh?
Even experts like... Al Gore, he invented the Internet by the way... (Sorry, sarcasm slipped out for a second) Don't actually have any idea.
Here are some global facts for you, the temperature of the earth has never been constant, it fluctuates dramatically. Always has, always will.
Natural possesses occur both on and off the planet that can affect the temperatures here.
Want proof? about 600 years ago the sun hit a low Ebb in its production of light and heat (yes the sun actually cooled down slightly) this caused what has been referred to as the small ice age. about 200 years ago A volcano in the pacific exploded, blocking out more light and heat from the sun, temperatures dropped, it became colder, crops failed and one year the conditions were so bad it became known as "the year without a summer". It is also why you see huge ice chunks in the picture of George Washington crossing the Delaware when the river does not usually freeze up till January.
A little less that 200 years ago the planet began to warm back up, the sun began to produce more heat, and the ice receded.
It is also a theory the "Dark ages" were not only metaphoricaly dark, but were actualy dark because of more volcanic activity in the pacific and the ash clouds obscured the sun light.
Now the question is, are we still seeing the effects of the global re-warming or this sinister Human produced "global warming"?
Again no one knows.
People scream about carbon monoxide and about how much we are releasing in to the air. the largest producer of Carbon monoxide in the world is well... the world. Cameroon hosts one of the largest producers of Carbon monoxide, a volcano near Lake Nyos. It produces more Carbon monoxide in a year then the united states.
Don't go with "the experts" because they know about as much about it as you or me or anyone Else here, even the ones who have "inconvenient truth" on eternal loop in their DVD player, Or 100 copies of Chritton's "State of fear" on their book shelves.
By the way global warming wont kill off all living creatures, in fact there was a time when it was much hotter and wetter than it is now, there were these big things called Dinosaurs, they seemed pretty cool with the environment at the time, And we are a lot smarter and able to adapt better than them aperantly, so I don't think we need to start writing mankind's obituary just yet.
But watch out for them Volcano's they are plotting something. check the link you can see what Mount Oku is planning for us. hehe

mad roy, Michael Crichton's book state of fear is a FICTIONAL NOVEL!
it has an author's opinion in the back, but nothing of valid proof that global warming does not exist as you people try to claim. matter of fact, he suggests global warming is occurring, but jumping to conclusions without more research on the cause would be a horrible mistake.
maybe people like you who claims that it refutes global warming, need to read the book again, maybe a couple more times, if it is too difficult to understand what he is saying.
global warming is definitely real, check out this website for some myths and facts about it. note, it is also a bipartisan website destroying any notion that psychopaths claim that it is a socialist conspiracy.

The jury is still out on that. Read Michael Crichton's State of Fear. In the 70s we were all freezing our butts off and they were raising heck about the new ice age. The sun goes thru long (for humans) cycles of warming up and cooling down (relatively speaking). At present we are at the peak of the warm phase. With 4-5 billion people on the planet, short of going back to caveman living standards for everyone, there isn't much we could do that would have any real impact on it if we were indeed responsible.

My name is Rafael Lomena. I write from Alicante (Spain). I am independent investigator on the Accelerated Global Heating and want to share with all something that can turn out from interest to fight this phenomenon.
I believe that the main cause of the Accelerated Global Heating is in the great and increasing forest fires that are whipping to the planet in the last years.
My complete report is in: http://inicia.es/de/rlv/clim.htm...
If they do not understand the Spanish they can use the automatic translator that will find in the main page of site:

Thanks to all.

I agree with Agnostic Canadian. Global Warming is real, and all the problems associated with it and other man-made chemicals will probably lead to humankind's ultimate demise. Small loss, I say.

global warming is actually a naturally occuring process that man has increased i did an experiment reccently that proves the icebergs melting won't increase the sea level, also if a research scientist does not belive in global warming they pull their funding, like in the good old days of witch hunting.

Yes and no .. It is a naturally occuring thing the earth has warmed and cooled for millions of years.... but (and my ecology professor would argue with this) I believe that man is increasing its effects with what we are doing to the environment.
