Just about every policy decision made by George W. Bush. A specific example is to put up a fence on the border with Mexico and export illegal aliens regardless of how long they have lived here and how much they have worked and contributed to the economy.

In my opinion anytime someone says the solution to a problem is easy to solve that person doesn't understand the problem or is too closed minded to consider the entire question.

The war in Iraq was originally supposed to be funded by it's own oil production, neat, simple, wrong! I don't know if this is the type of example you are looking for, or if you want something more philosophical.

One example that supports this is wellfare. Don't get me wrong I think it's a wonderful program but it's not being run properly. The government's solution to poverty is just to give people money and allow them to sit back and do nothing. That's not a smart solution.
