You said "YOUR COUNTRY" is this not your country too.
All of us are immigrants unless our ancesters were American
indians....
Our land is beautiful and accepting of others. We do resent
having uninvited visitors coming into our home and trying to change our ways.
It's like you getting company at home and after a few months they
want to take over your home, husband and children and you give
in and let them.
Immigrant made this country what it is today, I love it and I'm
proud of it.

Legal Immigrants contribute to this Country, Illegal Immigrants steal from this Country.

Legal ones are fine. They work hard and sometimes do contribute to the country they live in. Of course there are bad and good ones....some do create trouble but hey, in our own country it's the same....in some countries, we need people like them because we have too many bums in our country that doesn't want to work but just wait to take the goverment's money for free.....how can any country's enconomy rise if they are too many useless bums?? There are both the bad and good side of this...too many of them will also lead to poor employment for the citizens coz these immigrants work cheap.....This, the goverment has to put a control on it and minimize on the percentage of immigrants to be accepted in the country.

This country was built on the backs of immigrants, have to like that. Some contribute, some dont. Illegal immigrants are exploited here, they need to realize that. Illegal immigrants are content with low paying jobs and a lousy lifestyle. I cant imagine getting by on $12,000 a year. They definately drive down wages for the non-educated american and/or legal immigrant. As a son of legal immigrants from Mexico, it saddens me to see all these folks get exploited. My father, before becoming a legal immigrant, was exploited here as a guest worker. He vowed never to let that happen again by going back home and applying for a green card. I know conditions are worse back back home for most illegals so I cant blame them. Illegals dont ruin our country, they ruin there self worth by coming here and accepting crappy paying jobs.

Both Legal and Illegal contribute. I love all immigrants, because they are willing to do our dirty work for minimum wage. I personally don't want to be working at McDonald's or building houses my whole life, and that goes for the vast majority of people in the U.S. Most people want to be Doctors or Lawyers etc, so the immigrants, legal and illegal, give the people that want to be Doctors a better chance because all positions at McDonalds are taken and the wage is too low for us. Immigrants are key to economic growth.
the only problem with illegal immigration is that they get the same benefits that we get and we have to pay higher taxes. Oh no, Its too bad that the wealthiest country in the world has to pay higher taxes! America is no longer land of the free. More like land of the uncontent and selfish. We don't think of the Illegals that want to make a better living anymore. WE ONLY THINK OF OURSELVES.

I have no problems with legal immigrants, when they contribute and pay taxes. I do have a problem with illegals coming to this country, underbidding workers wages and staying in poverty, as much as I do with the companies that hire illegals.

This is everyone's country as long as they are here LEGALLY. I am so sick of the white and black and latino issue.. I have friends from every race..I am not racist. However if people come to this country ILLEGALLY then they are not contributing anything ..they are ruing it . they are no better than the legal immigrants who with thru the legal channels and waited years to be here..I gladly and with open arms welcome there. They are here paying taxes and our society benefits from them unlike the ILLEGALS that are here. I don't care if the illegals are from Mexico or whereever, illegal is illegal PERIOD...

Immigrants definitely contribute to this country--without them it wouldn't exist. So long as they abide by the laws (coming here and after arrival), and work hard like everyone else without expecting a free ride, they're welcome.

Immigrants help it; illegals ruin it. Illegals are not "immigrants" at all, any more than an intruder in your house is a "guest" or a "visitor."

The legal immigrants yes, will always be welcome, and as for contribute, yes they sure do. The illegal immigrants, will never be welcome, and yes they do all they can to ruin things.
