It depends on who is sponsoring you. It also depends on what their status is also. if they are citizens it would be easier.
Best shot is mother/father/husband or wife.
Why don't you try the
INS website, they also have a green card lottery every year sign up for it.

I-485, I-765,I-130 are a few of the most important ones. You will need your sponsors social security card, birth certificate for both. If this is an spouse that is sponsoring you, and they have been married before... divorce papers,,,, photos,,,,passport style,,, Physical by approved immigration doctor,,, Tax returns for the last 3 years. And a lot of money and time...... Good Luck
