Bush said today that America is loosing. He said get ready for more deaths as he sends the Iraqi freedom fighters more targets to shoot at and blow up.

How is it that America is getting ready to pump another 99 BILLION dollars into Iraq and we are getting our butts kicked by $5.00 homemade bombs?

We will always lose as long as congress and Haliburtion is calling the shots

Nam is a good example of congress v the Military controling the shots

the 1st invasion of Irag was Military controlling the situ The second is congress making $$ million for their buddies

Several $$ Billion spent crap, Clintion spent over $1.9 trillion in Kosovo His wife spent several millions just visiting troops in Afgan.

Gees and we paid over $4miilion for Clintons ********

Hilary spend over $4 millioin for a different health care system that didn't "work out"

We can't afford her any more

Because of political rules. 70,000 more troops won't make an inch of difference. More than half a million could not hold Vietnam quiet or win at peak. If you want to win this kind of type war, it means being really brutal and selective. Retaliation. And a lot more. Bush got us in this, doesn't seem to have the stomach or brain to finish it.

It's not that we are losing, we're just doing the same thing we did in Vietnam. We're fighting the war wrong. They are using guerilla tactics while we continue to use the standard military tactics of WWII. To win you have to fight as the enemy. We sit and wait, go on patrol and wait some more for them to open fire on us and by that time there is nothing to do except shoot back. It may seem like an offensive war but the way we're fighting it is as a defensive one. Just have faith. Hooah!

You know, I don't think there is a right answer out there. War is war is war. This war on terrorism is something so out of the blue, completley unavoidable when you think about it. I think were losing because we are the U.S. Just think about it. WWl, WWll, we were victorious. Now our luck seems to be dwindling. Don't get me wrong I am a patriot, 100% full-blodded for the U S of A. But things change, ways of life change, and so do people. Were not neutral anymore, now we seem almost imperalistic. If only the troops could be home for the Holidays, being with their families, even if it were one night. Then I think this might just end, and we'd just be finding ourselves in someone elses' mess.

He said no such thing, and you should pay attention. We went in with too small an army, with plenty of maneuver units but way too few civil affairs and counterinsurgency people, and it makes things difficult. There are people over there who know exactly what they're about, though. And it's messy and bloody, but that's hardly the same as "getting our butts kicked" on an operational level.

nobody ever wins a war one side has to compromise more than the other anytime people die as a result of war means that there is no winning america tries to kill selectivley and the people who make five dollar bombs dont care if people other than the intended victim get killed

The first step in winning a war is to have a country united ... divided we fall. The second step is to have an enemy you can see. If we had the people in this "United States" united, we would have a hope.

Not with this climate. War is ugly, messy, and people die. If the public can not handle this idea and do this tip-toe type of war their is no way we can win. In WW2 the publics attitude was kill all Nazis and we won. Now its lets talk and try to be friends. Good grief!!!

Regardless if Bush said we were losing or not, we are losing is so many different ways it is scary. It makes no sense what they are doing and the only thing to stop them is a revolution in this country.
