I don't have any fears - never did. My children are nearly grown, exposed to a number of religions, and they will make the choices they wish to make in their lives.
I don't fear religion per say - I fear some of the fanatics in it, and since my children have a good grounding in critical thinking and exposeure to so many, I doubt greatly they will ever become fanatics.

That they will be depressed atheists.
Of course they would claim that they are enlightened.
Wow! What I said sounds sarcastic. I did'nt mean to be.
It's just that I think an open-minded person can believe both the seen and the unseen factors of life.

well i don't have any children at the moment but when i ever do have children my main concern would be having someone brainwash them into believing their religion is the right one or they will be condemned to hell if they don't believe that to be the truth as i want my kids to make that decision for themselves when they are old enough

That they would not consider other thought and I hope that they will always admit that no one really knows until after the end who is right. Never kill like some religions teach

No fears. The last thing anyone should fear is religion.
My son is an atheist and my daughter is a Unitarian. They can do what they want. They have complete freedom.

That she will choose comfort over character. Many parents wish that their children are happy. I wish that my daughter would have a very strong sense of what is right and what is wrong, and she would honor God over happiness.

They that will become brainwashed like my sister has become. I love her, and I don't want to see her hurt, but I think that the fundamentalists have truly corrupted her. She looks upon me and my cousin in pity. She hates to hear me talk about spiritual things. My fear is that my kids will be like her, that they won't be able to question things, that they will mindlessly accept whatever is told to them. That is my fear.

That they will become the sort of people that believe that because they are right, that people who don't believe the same way must be wrong.
