Im 13 and i havent started my period... is this a bad thing?

Nope...it's a great thing! I'm 13 and I got it last year and sometimes I wish I didn't get it yet. Our moms probably got it really late because in those days, there weren't as much hormones in the foods that they ate. That's also why there's different problems like twins being born stuck together...because of all the hormones in food.

No, all girls start at different times. Some girls start at 13 some start as 16 **lucky ones** lol. I started when i was 10 i was really early when i started i was in 4th Grade

I JUST started my period in March and I'm 13 but girls don't go through their period until when they are 16 years old. If your Mom has had her period before you, ITS COMPLETELY NORMAL. no my friend all of us are different and the same. do you have a gynecologist yet? i would get one soon. i had one at 13. i started my period when i was 13 almost 14 shy of 1 month.

I'M 13 2 BUT ITS NOT A BAD THING ITS ACTUALLY GOOD BECAUSE THAT WAY U DONT HAVE TO GO OVER THE PAIN, MY AUNT DIDNT GET HER PERIOD UNTIL SHE WAS 16, I UNDERSTAND HOW U FEEL LAST YEAR WHEN I WAS 12 I WAS WORRIED AND I ACTUALLY WANTED TO HAVE MY PERIOD BUT NOW I WISH I DIDNT HAVE IT.

Wow lucky lol i got mine when i was 12 all my friends started way after me believe me the later the better i mean the cramps having to change your pad or tampon it gets annoying don't worrie Hun everything is fine some people just start later

Girl, each person is different. I know it may seem like a big deal, but ENJOY it while you can. Once you get it, it is a pain in the Butt!! I am sure it is just around the corner, but seriously. Focus on your freinds, school, and things you enjoy. It will be here before you know it.

i'm 13 and i'm turning 14 in a few days. i just started like a week ago. haha but my aunt started when she was 17 so don't be worried if you haven't started yours! everyone starts at different times!

Noo im 13 and i havent either xD
For me it might be because my family all started late. (ex: my mom got it when she was about 18, YES 18) You could ask your mom when she got hers.
I guess its better that we havent started yet :)
