It's been 5 years and I still have flashbacks, so I don't know if it ever goes away completely.
Counseling helps a bit, hon.

You will heal to a certain degree. It will always be there, but not like now. Just take everything you do slow and don't rush into anything. Be patient. Try doing some counseling and join a rape group.
It'll get better.

Rape is a very traumatic experience and it can take a long time to heal from it. Counselling does help, as does talking to family members or finding a support group.

Um.. This a one of the hardest questions i have ever had to answer....Um... to tell you the truth I believe that you truely never do heal from being raped...I think that physicaly you do but mentally you never do... It will always be there.. and the only thing to do is fight back and help those who need comfort and to seek comfort in those to whom you trust.

if you were raped, I would suggest joining Pandora's Aquarium. It's an online support group. They can help, it's for people who are in different stages of healing.

Depends, If u don't do anything about it, it sticks to u like a leach. If u believe u can over come rape, definetly, the mind is a powerful thing. U can probably do it, just believe in your self....

yes you learn how to cope, you will always remember it, and you will never forget how you feel.
My ex boyfriend was my first love, i trusted him, but there was a problem....... if he wanted to have sex, and i would say no, he still thought that meant he could still have ex with me. Its terrible and sounds wierd i know, i was raped multiple times by someone that was suppose to have loved me. to this day no one knows, but to me if you can tell someone that you trust that is a start to your healing process. I don't really remember details because i have blocked it out, but i still feel betrayed and hurt.

physically yes, but emotionally it takes a VERY long time. Be patient with yourself, as a survivor myself I can say after almost 20 years I still shutter at times. Time will fade and heal... Take the time, R E A L L Y

You do...after a time. You learn to deal with it, you learn to move on, you never forget. It happened to me when I was 10. I saw a therapist while I was in my teens. Just a few months ago it all came back because of something my ex husband did, however, and I have gone through all the feelings and emotions again. I am learning how to move on again.
