No, it doesn't irritate men, it intimidates them. That is their problem, not the smart woman's.
No woman should ever play dumb. She is denying who she is and anyone trying to be someone they are not just to please others or to connect with others is just plain wrong.

No I do not hate men. a smart man. when a man is intellectual and discusses politics, the meaning of life and so and so forth, does this irritate women? Especially when she is in HIS shadow intellectually. Should a Man act less than intelligent to make Her feel better. See that works both ways, you hate men?

Most men dont hate a smart woman..in fact, I hate stupid women that can't speak on those, and many other subjects.
Never change who you are to make someone feel better, but at the same time, you dont need to constantly remind someone that they're not as well educated as you are.
The smartest person I've ever known, could talk on just about every subject, and never did I see him talk down to someone like they were beneath him :)
Another thing, is that voicing your opinion is a good thing, as long as you can understand and appreciate that someone may have views directly opposite your own, ESPECIALLY when it comes to politics. I may argue with you about your viewpoints, but I also will argue to make sure you have the right to express that viewpoint, disagree with it or not :)

I have seen so many females do that. It is not a good idea to act less intelligent than what you are. Why would you want to deny whom you are? Why would any person?
A dear friend of mine is quite intelligent, but every time a man comes around, she becomes a baby-talking, giggling, wiggling, helpless twit of a human being. It's nauseating. I asked her about that behavior not too long ago. She said that I was being ridiculous and that she was just flirting. Righto.
If a woman is behaving that way to "get" a man, then perhaps he isn't worth "getting" if he doesn't want her to live up to her potential. And vice-versa.

Not at all just treat, your man with respect. you must be with each other for some reason so long as its not just sex, to respect each other is the only way to get along. Men who hate smart women are with the wrong woman, and she is with the wrong man. If a man is unable to discuss poltics and the meaning of life he is not less intelligent but im afraid the poor man is dead.

well generally men don't like it when someone is better than them. especially when it is a girl. it's our ego. but it all depends on the persons maturity. matured guys would not mind if the girl is more brainy.
girls should not act less intelligent to make a guy feel better. that's pathetic! rather they should learn to behave in such a way that people know they are brainy, but they don't impose it on others. so they don't put down ego's of less intellectual guys.

Intelligence is definitely a good thing to have in a woman. It's hard to find one who will actually talk about those things though, instead of putting on a bimbo act or just going on about the latest gig they went to.

No, not exactly...hate. Hate is a little too strong of a word for something as simple as that.
This doesn't irritate me, and it only does when they rub it in.
A woman doesn't have to act like that just to make us guys feel better. U do know most smart guy doesn't have to act stupid to have a girl feeling better.
Same goes for making someone feel worse.
This is not because I am just smart :) lol

I love a woman that has the character you describe. Any man that passes on an intellectual woman is missing the chance to broaden his own horizions.
