WASR 10 is just another variant of the typical AK47, wasr-10's are Romanian with chrome bore and barrel. No modified stock, no fancy add ons, just another variant, like the RPK is another variant of the AK, or the SAR1, or the VEPR II, etc etc. It's not a name brand Like Bushmaster, or DPMS, or Colt, it's a identification variant, usually used by the country of origin and/or the manufacturer.

WASR 10 is a cosmetic AK-47 look alike manufactured in Romania, like the man above states. Early versions made before the sunset of the assault rifle ban utilized a single column 10 rnd magazine,(to comply with the assault rifle ban while still retaining the appearance of a high-capacity magazine) and some were fitted with a Dragunova-style thumbhole stock to comply with restrictions primarally in California, which eventually banned all AK look-alikes anyway. Versions of the WASR 10 imported after the sunset of the ban use a two-column mag. and will accept all AK type mags and drums.
The main differences aside from the fact that actual AK's are machineguns containing full-auto fire control parts, and the points regarding the magazines as stated above, are in terms of fit and finish. Romanian AK -style rifles generally have a lower quality fit and finish than Russian or Bulgarian AK's, but the functioning is on a par with guns from other countries.

This rifle is the same as the SAR-1 Romanian AK's, except that it a cap attached to the muzzle. It looks as though the Romanians were going to thread the barrel and then realized that it was illegal.

If i'm not mistaken the wasr-10 only accepts single stack mags. akm's take doble stack(ak-47 is a full auto as in you cant buy it, akm is semi-auto). anyway check and see if it takes double stack mags, d-stack ak mags are everywhere and cheap...s-stack mags are scarce and pricey.
***update ; yes wasr-10 is single stack.see link below.
