Do guys like girls with short hair? Seriously, I am a young woman who has had short hair for a while, mostly because I look awful with long hair. But I look around and every guy I see, is dating a girl who has long hair, even if she is really fat or has bad acne or a nasty personality. And what kills me is that these are really attractive guys! So is the short hair a turn off? Why?

Don't get too caught up in this. Statistically most guys like women with long hair. That is simply because it has been more traditional for women to have long hair. Don't get me wrong here, but many straight women with short hair may falsely be believed to be a lesbian. But any good guy would know that a man or a woman with long or short hair, black, yellow, or purple may be straight, or gay, or bi, or whatever. Too often people fall into the stereotype perception of what a person may be, without ever talking to that person to find out! These types of men that judge you based on your hair! You gotta be kidding. See who you can win with the real YOU, the person you are on the inside! I know that physical attraction is part of the deal when it comes to love, but real love goes deeper than that. Real love, is about loving someone even when you hate them. Real love, is about who YOU are as a SOUL, not as a haircut, or style of dress, or whether or not you use makeup. Real love, is deep and profound, and goes beyond any physical or any other limitation.
Try not to base whether or not guys like you because of how you look. Take your make-up off for a week, you heard me, and see who your TRUE friends are. If they are your real friends they'll talk to you, even when you're going crazy and are pulling out your hair. If they aren't your friends, and they base you on something as superficial as a haircut (YOU DON'T WANT THAT!!!) Good luck.

Don't worry, short hair is not a turn off. I have friend who has short hair but looked cute(and she had one cute boyfriend too) Not all men doesn't like a short hair girl. Many cute guys like girls who has short hair too. So cheer up! Some (but not all) attractive guys has "bad" personality, so don't look from the face.

Depends how short. A boy cut is not attractive, no. A decent short haircut is beautiful, mostly on girls with a more round face (not insinuating chubbiness.) Hair isn't that important, but yes, basic appearance is. Men, including myself, care about appearance mostly because it shows how much she's willing to put forth that effort. It's much the same way if a guy always wears overalls with holes in the crotch. That may get some attention, but most women wouldn't find that attractive. Tastes are different between everyone. In my mind, however, every woman has some way they're beautiful. I can put up with a blemish here or there if they make up for it elsewhere (not referring to sexual performance.)

I had really short pixie hair for a long time. I finally decided to grow it out and the truth came that I really looked better with long hair. I thought for years with the shape of my face and thin hair that I couldn't wear it long. But now they have sooo... many cool hair products that I think the long hair suits me with some help from them. The guys have always been there, but I did notice an increase in attention with the longer hair style.

Short hair only works with women who are exceptionally thin or tall, like a model. Heavy women with short hair tend to have a hefty looking face. Long hair is better for the most part.
Short hair is usually seen as masculine.

I think guys generally do like long hair better, but not all of them. It's mostly confidence that they like the most. You may be a little sensitive right now, and so maybe only see the girls with long hair with guys. Work on yourself and then try to find someone, it may not be so hard then

I personally like long hair, but short hair does look good on some females. I think it really depends on the your face and your body. Maybe you should consider going to a professional hair stylist and have them determine the best haircut for you.

I read once in a study, that in men's genetics, seeing a women with short hair, subconsciously makes them think that they cut off their hair, to cut men out of their lives...
They don't even realize this, but, for some reason, with some men, the short hair just repels them away from a girl.

Honey, I cut my hair off three years ago and I get SO much more attention than I did with long hair. If you have the right face for it, short hair can make you look super hot.

I dont think its a turn of, just matters how short, if its like a fade type of deal, then, yeah I can see the problem but its not a turn off... A major essence of finding a women attractive is how she carries herself, I think if you have short hair, keep it. You can most definitely be"sexy" even with it.. Flaunt it Mama
