Ok for the record, the only way you can get rid of hilites is to deposit color over them, hilites are hair with less pigment, so they won't fade cuz there isn't anything to fade. And as for shoe polish, I just don't understand how this could even come up as a thing you would put in your hair, oh well probably the same way koolade did!

I don't think that baking soda remove highlights. shoe polish will darken you hair but i also might come off on your clothes

Shoe polish is for shoes. Baking soda is a low abrasive cleaner, can polish teeth,homemade less abrasive facial scrub and antacid, and is used in many baked goods. Have a nice holiday.

Yes golden blonde when I was a wee tot then darker brown when in 8th grade then later at 37 I was dark brunette and now my hair is the dreaded GreyLOL at 65 yrs young.

shoe polish will temporarily dye your hair but it will stink and take forever to wash out. not sure about the baking soda but i do know that tomato sauce can take green tones out of highlights. that will also make your hair stink

for me it depends on the girl. Like I might notice a girl with black hair as well as think she is totally hot but see a girl with blond hair that is meh and vice versa.
