I used to do that, too and the same thing often happened to me.
The problem was too little of flour was used. Since then, I've gotten back to following my best recipes which are in books.
Yea, girl, you need to use more flour and or switch to cook book recipes. Next time, do what you did. Just bake one pan of cookies. If the problem happens, add some more flour to the dough (but not too much, or you'll have a rock), then do another test pan of cookies. Better? Proceed to bake more cookies.
Poppy Seed Milk
Recipe #201222
A Liithuaninan non dairy smoothie, which is often used in place of eggnog, to celebrate the first officila day of winter (Winter Solstice). At first it might seem or look discouraging, but it's worth a try! It really doesn't take many ingredients.

It is possible that you are not adding enough flour. I followed a recipe that had less flour than most chocolate chip cookies. They turned out flat. Try adding a half a cup more of flour into your recipe. I cook my chocolate chip cookies at 350 degrees for ten minutes. They always turn out good and chewy

i've got had the comparable undertaking, and that i've got got here upon that if I positioned them too close at the same time on the pan they grow to be flat. Now for my cookies I consistently use a small ice cream scoop which you would be able to squeeze the manage to get the ice cream out (cookie scoop hasn't worked besides for me). this type the cookie dough is a lot greater rounded. I positioned each and each cookie approximately an inch or greater different than for one yet another and that they arrive out suitable.

Make sure the butter is soft, but not too soft. And use a little more brown sugar than reg. sugar. And cook the minimum it says on the package until they are just golden. Then leave on the cookie sheet for 2 minutes after you take them out of the oven. Try those :)
*But if you live in a high altitude, you may just be out of luck.

Try a tad more baking soda
Or try to make them so they are a bit more viscous: add less water.
Personally, though, I like flat.

Make bigger balls of dough, space them further apart and subtract one minute from the cooking time to make them softer and chewier.
Have fun!
