Pistachios and cashews, but...my girlfriend is Iranian and she told me that in the mountain regions of her country walnuts grow wild and that when they are picked fresh....the shell is soft and can be easily peeled to reveal the white soft nut in its natural state.
She says that these walnuts...that we never see...are the best nuts in the world!! Not the hard old brown things we see...but the juicy white fleshed nut that cvomes straight from the tree!!
Never tasted it...but it does sound gooooooooooooood!

My fav are almonds then brazil nuts, pecans, walnuts, salted peanuts with the shell on, cashews.
