The Boeing 777-300/ER.

Because this plane is new, and can fly further than their current Boeing 747-400 or competing Airbus A340 with only 2 engines.

This makes it more fuel efficient and will offer commonality with their current Boeing 777-200/ER

Right now, there is rumors saying that BA may lean toward B747-8 since they have a big fleet of B747-400s. Also, B777-300ER is another candidate that they may choose to replace some of the B747-400. But I mean if they want to increase capacity, B747-8 seems to be the best fit. Also they are evaluating the B787 and A350
