I have a cousin back in Mexico, T.J. to be exact. He runs a very successful taco stand. On my last trip to visit the family, my cousin took me to a warehouse that was filled with dogs. I asked him if it was the mexican dog pound but he laughed at me and told me that he used the dogs for his taco stand. He also told me that it dog was cheaper and sometime free. He said more profits came in this wasy. I was shocked and was felt really bad for the dogs. I do not know if I should tell the authorities because he is my cousin. I know a lot of his customers are white americans and he make alot of money there. If I were to tell I know he would probably go to jail and wont be able to provide for his family. What should I do????

I lived in Mexico for a year back in the 90's and it was common practice to use dog meat. I don't know about now though.

talk to him and see if you can get him to stop, maybe that's all he needs but if not..... i know its REALLY hard and almost feels wrong
but its the wright thing to do.... you should tell. but just think about how much good your doing, your saving dogs lives, saving your cousin from getting caught later in life, and the people buying the tacos aren't eating dog meat anymore.the dogs might have worms that he could be giving to people too.

At one time it was very very common to be serving dog meat in Mexico.
I do not think it is as common now as it once was.
As for being your family and turning him in if it is illegal to serve dog meat then turn him in if not maybe you do not want to eat tacos from him.

That is absolutely DISGUSTING!And if there's a shred of truth to your story you have a moral obligation to tell everyone you can think of in any and every position of authority to force him to stop immediately!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't concern yourself with his family. He should have thought of them before he started murdering dogs and misleading his customers. And I'm fairly certain that they are fully aware of his actions to provide for them and they can provide for themselves by running his taco stand using cow instead of dog.

That is just sick, wrong, and cruel. TURN HIM IN!!!! I wouldn't care if he would go to jail or not thats just..... EW ..... to gross for words to explain. If my sister ever did something like that i wouldn't give a care I'd turn her in. That is just rediculous and discusting. I'm sorry but as an owner of 3 dogs i would turn his a** in
