red or blue wire?

if you were a bomb disposalist and it was your call, what would influence you one way or the other and why.. no serious answers please points given for the most elaborate that makes me laugh!

This business of having to choose which wire to cut has become a bit of a film cliche. Have film makers run out of imagination ?
To hell with it, I say. Never mind the wires, throw the bomb at the cameraman and run like hell. What was the cameraman doing anyway, just watching instead of helping ?

First, I would take the necessary precautions to
insure my safety… I would send in my assistant..

Then by phone, I would tell him to cut the BLUE
wire first, and if it didn’t blow, it is over..
If it blows… it is still over..

(RED is always the Hot wire, so a bomb maker would use the BLUE one instead.. to confuse me)

I would give my assistant the pliers and say cut the red wire (I wolud be shouting at him from a mile away)

I'd get " shredder " to do it , coz if it went bang he would'nt have to worry about getting any more violations , and if it did'nt , just tell him he's got another go , lol

blue, red makes you think of blood and that is the last thing you would want to see

in this situation it would be prudent to delegate - tell your second in command to make the decision, once you have retreated about 50 metres
