Let me clear this up I am interested the yahoo messenger phone service thru my pc but it also stated I could make phone to phone call. I want to know if my house phone will work or do have to buy a new one for the pc

You'll have to buy one of the multi-handset systems Yahoo offers if you want a similar look-and-feel to your landline experience.

That's because no phone adaptor out in the market right now can be configured for Y!M Voice.

I've already invested $150 a year ago on a 5.8 GHz multi-handset system so I'm not ready to change again. But I would be interested in the system which allows you to make and receive calls on both Y!M and your landline. A two-line phone, essentially.

If the phone is out of service,it is useless for making calls.
