Try loreal has a hair color remover. It takes the black out but it leave your hair like orange tint so you'll have to dye it after using it. I done it twice when I dye my hair black. Just make sure you use a good mosturizing conditioner. Good Luck
You can get it at walmart.

ha..yea it's pretty true...the best thing for your hair would be laying off too much heat styling and loading up on moisturizing products. I would not continue to dye my hair. I've been there and this will only make it worse,b/c your hair will turn out slightly different than what was on the box. Plus MORE damaged. Most likely you will nvr be happy b/c u will be in the vicious cycle of DYE DYE DYE
Either buy a kit just for your roots (so it won't damage the rest of your hair) or....let it grow. Naturally med. brown hair isn't going to look too horrible with the black neways...
Good Luck w/ ur hair...I know xactly how u feel....

oh my god do not try to put a lighter colour on it as it will turn orange trust me i have done this you can have a professional do it but it has to be done in sessions costs a bomb and is very damaging to your hair i would recommend to be patient and start dying it dark brown then once your hair has grown all the black out you can gradually streak it.

i think you have to bleach your hair then get it back to the color you want. it`s the only way. it`s because if you just dye it o a lighter color, the black will be showing on your roots & stuff. i suggest you went to a saloon to do it .

Find a good hair dresser to dye it properly back or take your dye completely out, for about a fifety to a few hundred dollars. (I'd just take all the dye out)
