Petition the courts for a remodification of child custody hearing, with an intention to ask the judge to let the children decide who they want to live with. Once, in court, the judge usually takes the children into his chambers and asks them some simple questions, to test their reasoning power, and if their answers are satisfactorary to the judge, then he lets them decide. This is acceptable to the judge unless there is some reason for the court to rule the "wanted" parent to be unfit for custody. I have heard children as young as 4 yrs doing this, so your children should have no problem here. Good luck and Merry Christmas
