I am anti-war because in the big picture of things, God could end the world because of the horrible way it is now. Not only the war but so many other atroseries as well. Since I believe we are in the middle of an Apocolispe, I see the war as wrong. I don't think we can think so far in the future that we will help Iraq since the world is ending as we know it. I do however think if you have a cause to fight for you should, you should fight. It doesn't matter if you win because at least you will go out fighting. I see both sides of the spectrum. The war we are in always has religion thrown into the picture which is why I am asking this question. Your thoughts?

I am not a Christian believe me I don't care for bible thumpers. I am a mystic and I believe in Karma. I chose to leave the Catholic religion because of all their hypocrisy.

Obviously being a mystic I do think there are other forces at work besides God. Sorry never read the bible. Took four years of Theology at the Catholic school I went to. Let's just say I would have rather been in art class.

I don't understand how a believer in bible god can possibly be anti-war, God commands war all the time in the bible. He is an angry jealous god, what is wrong with war from a Christian viewpoint? Seems duplicitous.

If this God was pleased, then not pleased, then it is not unchanging, so according to Christian Mythology, this God could, and will destroy most of the earth before the reign of his son...

as far as Im concerned yess god is real but you need to spend less time in church and more time in a history book, humans have been fighting the entire time we've been around. as for religion beeing in this.... might I make the point the talaban think its a holy war, the muslims holy book says that you are not to kill Jews or christians, this is not a holy war and thier isnt an apocolips just chill, the world will end in 5 million years when the sun novas and thats it, so chill you wont be around.

Religion is the case of ALL major wars and contentions. It always has been. God didn't end the world before, He flooded it, and some people survived. I don't agree with you that we are in the middle of the apocolypse. I can see why people do though. God is going to end the world though. When? Who knows. You are a very interesting and deep person.

First of all God didn't end the world , he cleansed the world of all evil with the great flood and if you took your time to read revelation you'd see the world will end with fire .But as far as fighting is concerned that's up to you , but remember two wrongs don't make a right .

OK, first for you question to have any impact, your target audience would have to be christian in the first place, second, why would GOD destroy that which he made while there are still faithful followers around to praise him? Religion is often used in war because it gives our president a reason to go to Iraq to get oil.

I don't think this is the apocolypse. I think moving Sadaam from power was right...not necessarily the war. Regarding God ending the world..of course He could.

Having material objects is Not the paradise some people are convinced it is.

Self destruction will prevail til the world is ended.

Yup, religion is an evil force. Without religion, we would have a much more peaceful earth. All that fighting over people's unproven myths is disgusting.
