excellent question, you are right. almost every dealership you go into has very little or no parking. The main reason for that is their inventory. dealers try to keep as many cars as possible on their lot, before having to go out and rent space for cars. So you have all of those cars, service cars, parts trucks etc. that leaves very little space for customers.
Here is a good solution: If you are not serious about buying a car, don't go to the dealership, save the space, and the time for the real buyers. And that is not directed at you the asker, it's for the readers.

of course there's parking. just park behind those cars that nobody's bought. those cars aren't going anywhere. then you can get out and look at them that's what i do i like to go look at the new cars and see them up close and get a feel for what a piece of crap it really is.

They hope that the car you drove in with will be traded for a new one on their lot. Therefore, there is no net loss as far as overall parking spots.

it's a matter of using all the available space for saleable stock. I usually find parking near the parts departmnt or back by the body shop
