Lemons are naturally acidic and it will probably affect the pigment of the hair (like bleach, but not a strong)

I don't want to get all scientific or anything but the acidity of the lemon works on your hair to create a kind of chemical reaction that changes the color composition of your hair.

Lemon is a natural astringent and a natural bleach for the hair, skin and teeth. Citric Acid.
