A reasonable formula is one which can be constructed by scientific study.

The *theory* of evolution is just that: a theory. It is an idea, an opinion, a belief. If evolution were a fact, then it would be a "law" not a "theory."

Of course, I am not talking about micro-evolution, the variations in the species. This is why there are different types of humans, dogs, goats, birds, etc. Micro-evolution is an observable fact.

Regardless of either belief system, evolution or creation, man is only alloted a short time on this planet. Should we not be using that time for more productive measures than constantly debating over who is right and who is wrong?

The first one (though of course it's a terrible misrepresentation of the natural explanation of the origin of life - you're obviously trying to paint it as ridiculous, revealing your dishonesty).

The second one is a non-starter. Intentional design does not result in anything anywhere NEAR as complex as life. Complexity requires something other than intentionality - usually those mindless processes, playing out over long periods of time, with natural selection. Life is too complex to have been the product of intelligent design.
