I have pictures that are folded on the middle, and I'd like to unfold them, get them flat, what would be a good way to do so?

put a thin towel over the image and iron at a low setting... do not use steam!

It depends on the thickness of the paper, and if the fold was creased really hard. In most cases, it is almost impossible to COMPLETELY remove any sign of a fold. Ironing the paper on a hard surface will flatten they paper and greatly reduce the visibiliy of the fold. But in cases where the fold was creased hard, even ironing will not remove the fold from being able to be seen.

once a photo is folded, the emulsion (image) is damaged. if u or a buddy have photoshop, take the photo and scan it. then edit the picture with the healing tool to restore any creases or worn white edges in the picture and re-print. if u don't have a printer or a photo quality one, send the edited photo via the internet to walmart or ritz camera. They can print you a copy for .19 cents.
