You should read the website. It has studies that show that between 25 to 50% of all asthma sufferers have bacteria in their throat that is exacerbating their asthma. There's a treatment regimine of antibiotics that when taken gives many marked improvement and some it totally alleviates their symptoms.
My sister is taking the regimine now and she says she had been feeling much better and hasn't had to use her inhalers at all after having taken the first 3 doses.
She IM'd me to ask me what I thought before she went to her Dr because I have asthma but it hasn't been bad in recent years as well. After reading through the research, I realized I'd inadvertently had the antibiotic treatment right before I had sinus surgery. I had assumed that my move had improved my symptoms but now I think it was the 6 weeks of antibiotics I had to take.
It's worth a read and a try in my opininon.

If you have the staying power I have an answer for you. My mother cured her asthma with Omega-3 fatty acids. She was using an inhaler several times a day along with pills to try and control hers. She went to the local health-food store and they recommended the Omega-3's. She took at least twice the recommended dosage, but in about a year she could see a difference. After two years she no longer had to take the pills or use her inhaler. She has been asthma free for 4 years! Occasionally she gets tight when she is in a smoggy city, but she still doesn't have to use her inhaler.
She takes flaxseed oil to get the Omega-3's, which may make a difference. Check into it. If nothing else, Omega-3's are good for your skin and your digestive tract.
Good luck!!

I know that children who are diagnosed with asthma sometimes, not always grow out of it as they develop. Adults, to my knowledge are not so lucky. I have never heard of an adult asmatic patient being cured of the disease. Medications help control the symptoms. Some medications prevent the symptoms from occurring. They have a lot more then just inhalers now a days. Talk to a pulmonologist. A lung specialist, they have all that great information for you. Good luck and if you find out something that does cure it please let me know since my little brother has been an asmatic his entire life.

the only time that someone can get rid of asthma is if they have it as a child and they can possibly out grow it sometimes....If you are a grown up No you cannot get rid of it permanenly., however you can take steps to control it..No smoking ! don,t inhale smog, dust, or get around a lot of chemicals, its not going to cure it but more precautions you take the less attacks you will have...On onset of a cold start by getting treatment early, you should also keep and inhaler on you just in case of emergency...A real big upset can also bring on an attack...The more you learn about your condition the better you will be able to handle it....

It's permanent u can control it with those inhalers and that helps minimize and control it..and there are even medications for it but you will be diagnosed with it until you die, you can't really prevent it its just something u have or don't..luckily its mild and the effects are minimal and u prolly wont need the things i listed unless u r doing strenuous aerobic activity
