I would visit this site. They will address your question and discuss it with you. I found it and feel comfortable with the group that is running it.

You might also begin taking a B-Complex vitamin. I personally took two the first month every day then have taken one per day since that time. They helped me a LOT! The b-vitamins are responsible for many conditions in the body that interact with the nervous system. In this day and age, we are all short of those vitamins in our diet. I hope that this helps. Have a great holiday season!

Addiction is addiction. It is not a matter of degree. Anything, even food- will effect the body. The best and only way to straighten out is to stop taking anything. Yes, you are going to go through some emotional problems. It comes with the withdrawal. I have been where you are. I found the hard way that even prescription meds can be not good. Especially the so called psychiatric ones. Once you are clean for a few months, only THEN can you begin (with a clear mind) to see what is what. You'll need to learn to live one minute at a time but that only lasts for a short while. Work as if it all depends on you, but pray because it really depends on God...there are some things we definitely cannot do alone.
